We are recruiting a Grant Writer & Fundraiser to lead on sourcing and pursuing funding opportunities, as well as writing and submitting grant applications alongside supporting documentation.
You will contribute to a team of young and talented creatives working remotely on an initiative that received an Award for Excellence from the Community Archives and Heritage Group as "an extraordinary example of an archive both preserving the voices of displaced and fractured communities for the future and acting as an engine of community resilience in the present. This is an archive at its best raw emotion, portraying real life and its impact on individuals and families, community leadership and involvement, a focus on tomorrow - the younger generation - and an excellent website for outreach and advocacy. This archive will become an outstanding research tool for the future. But it is also – evidently – succeeding in its principal short-term goal of community building."
What are we looking for?
The successful candidate will have excellent writing skills with a particular flair for writing persuasive bids, be a confident communicator and an organized self-starter, with 3 years' experience in a fundraising role and a proven track record of securing high value, multi-year funds.
This is an immensely rewarding role working in a dynamic organisation built on an ethos of sharing and inclusivity. We are looking for an exceptionally committed individual who is willing to go the extra mile and has flexibility to work remotely to tight deadlines. Through your activities, you will be able to convey the organisation's passion and commitment to supporting the arts and heritage and demonstrate the impact of our interventions in transforming the lives of beneficiaries.
This role is primarily focused on raising funds from grant‑making bodies including trusts and foundations, corporations and other organisations in the UK and internationally.
