Qualifications

  • Modules covering wastewater, hydraulics, GIS or flood risk are desirable.
  • Good written English skills are required.

Overview

RPS, part of Tetra Tech since January 2023, is a global firm that defines, designs, and manages projects in urbanisation, natural resources, and sustainability. We are building our Water Consultancy business across our Sheffield, Derby, Newcastle, and London offices and are looking to reinforce our team with Graduate Water Engineers and Modellers.

Assessment Centre

The Graduate Assessment Centre will be held virtually on the 20th of January. It will run from 9:25 AM to approximately 4:00 PM and will include:

  • Welcome presentation
  • Group presentation exercise
  • Technical assessment
  • Individual interview
Career Pathways

The Graduate roles combine office/home‑based working with on‑site site work for data collection. Career pathways include:

  • Engineering
  • Modelling
Responsibilities
  • Data handling and analysis of large datasets
  • Statistical analysis of data
  • Preparation of factual and interpretative reports
  • Construction and maintenance of statistical models
  • Client and stakeholder engagement and management
  • Provide input to development, maintenance and documentation of bespoke software tools and applications
  • Use of GIS, including software such as QGIS and ArcGIS
About You
  • A degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Geography, Environmental Science, or GIS
  • Modules covering wastewater, hydraulics, GIS or flood risk are desirable but not essential
  • Good communication skills and written English
  • Ability to work in a team to solve problems that matter
  • Computing skills including previous experience of Excel
