Job summary

  • The STRABAG UK Graduate Programme has been designed to provide you with powerful development and experience, giving you an incredible start to your career with us.
  • It starts with your induction week, held offsite, where together, we focus on communication, teamwork and connection.

  • The STRABAG UK Graduate Programme is 15 months in duration and offers industry leading development. It is intense but hugely rewarding and on successful completion, you will receive accreditations and qualifications from industry recognised bodies such as:
  • The Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH)
  • Association for Project Management (APM)
  • Institute of Sustainability & Environmental Professionals (ISEP)
  • British Tunnelling Society (BTS)
  • The Institute of Leadership (IOL)
  • You will also begin your journey with professional associations such as The Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), The Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (CICES) and The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

STRABAG’S Recruitment & Selection Process:Our graduate selection process shall comprise of the following stages:

Role Requirements:

  • DeliverToolbox Talks
  • Whererequired supervision of junior engineers
  • Ensurethat sufficient and full information is available on drawings and sketchesto set out the works in accordance with the programme and sequence ofoperations.
  • Communicatewith foremen and operatives.
  • Ensurecurrent drawings are being used.
  • Ensurefull understanding of information provided.
  • Ensurethe compliance of method statements.
  • Provideaccurate and clear setting out for works before work is programmed tocommence, allowing time for independent checking where required.
  • Check theworks during progress and on completion to ensure that the works has beenconstructed to the setting-out information provides. Report anynon-conformance to the Engineer / Site Manager
  • Keep a fulland accurate daily site diary, including any changes / variations,subcontractors’ attendance, and records of work-related discussions withclient / designer / project team.
  • Carry outsite measures for the control and ordering of materials.
  • Carry outthe duties of equipment engineers and maintain a log of all equipment onsite, ensuring that all transfers / off hires are properly documented.
  • Ensure the site diary is accurately maintained noting against eachrecord the date, location and serial number of equipment used.
  • Minimise environmental disturbance during construction works.
  • This role will require the need to travel and move around the UK.
