Paramount’s Global Security Operations Centre was established in 2015 and is located in the Paramount Studio lot in Hollywood, California. The GSOC is a state‑of‑the‑art facility that coordinates response to a variety of security and emergency situations that affect employees, productions, and guests worldwide. The decisionję to establish the GSOC was based on the need to enhance and coordinate security and emergency measures due to the changing global climate and need to better ensure the safety and well‑being of Paramount stakeholders. The GSOC is manned by two Global Security Operations Centre Operators and supported by one GSOC Analyst 24/7/365.
What will you be doing?
This position is responsible for assisting the GSOC Senior Director with the administration of 10 (plus) security systems in the Global Security Operations Centre (GSOC); collecting, analysing and preparing intelligence briefings; monitoring Paramount operations for threats and operational risks that could impact operations and responding to those threats using various security systems and workflows; and acting as the subject matter expert to GSOC staff (security dispatchers) during emergency situations.
Under general supervision, the GSOC Operators perform the following:
- Utilizes a computerized Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) platform to monitor surveillance, detection, entry management, and alarm systems to support company operations and ensure a safe environment for employees, productions, travelers, and guests.
- Dispatches Paramount first responders (i.e., Security, Safety, Fire, and Medical services) utilizing radio technology and the computer-assisted dispatch system to provide customer service and/or investigate and resolve incidents.
- Operates and monitors Paramount’s global situational awareness systems to ensure the safety of Paramount assets and travelers and escalates incidents to the GSOC Analyst for further evaluation.
- Maintains logs and incident reports related to requests for service and emergency response activities in the PSIM platform.
- During a major emergency, provides situational analysis by tracking the status of emergency response and infrastructure assessments.
- May act in a lead or supervisory capacity and assist in training of other operators.
- Assists in the development of incident response workflows and business rules contained in the PSIM solution.
- Acts as the subject matter expert in the GSOC during emergency situations to ensure the GSOC supports the incident in an effective and efficient manner.
- Assists with maintaining operational risk monitoring tools to track threats and operational risks to Paramount operations, in support of Business Resiliency efforts.
- Responds to various global incident alerts/threats, quickly assesses conditions and situations based on system information; makes notification decisions based on Paramount incident response workflows, activates and coordinates emergency response procedures, and maintains situational information and status of incident response actions.
- Supports GSOC operators (dispatchers) in performing their routine dispatching functions, as needed.
- Collects analysis and prepares various intelligence briefings, including but not limited to, daily briefs,’wi travel briefs, white papers on emerging threats, etc.
What are we looking for?
- A relevant qualification in Computer Science, Political Science, Emergency Management or related discipline is preferred.
- Experience with security systems.
- Experience writing technical business policies, procedures and reports.
- Must be willing to work weekends and holidays, as needed.
- Experience of working full‑time in a customer service call centre or security operations centre.
- Experience utilizing technology-based security systems is a plus.
- Speak clearly while utilizing telephone, radio, and computer-assisted dispatch systems.
- Prepare clear and accurate incident reports and activity logs.
- Understand and follow oral instructions and written policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Must be willing to work any 8‑hour shift assignment, included during holidays, weekends, and overtime as required.
- Broad knowledge of Security Operation centre policies and procedures.
- Ability to analyse and quickly react to emergency situations while maintaining composure and professionalism.
- Excellent writing_Meta editing skills and be detail oriented.
- Proائیں in MS Office, including Word and Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and other related applications.
- High‑level organizational and planning skills so that workflow is managed efficiently and accurately; must be able to set priorities, take initiative and exercise sound independent judgment.
- Comfortable working under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Capable of working independently without extensive direction or oversight.
- Creative, strategic thinker dedicated to quality service.
- Excellent oral and written skills, and the ability to effectively communicate ideas in a clear, concise, and professional manner.
