A leading gas service provider in Scotland is looking for a Gas Engineer Assistant to support engineers in the repair and maintenance of gas mains and services. The ideal candidate will have a valid UK driver’s licence and be willing to learn in a dynamic environment. This role includes working outdoors and adapting to various situations, ensuring the safety and warmth of our customers. The position offers a competitive salary starting at £28.2K per annum, increasing upon probation completion.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid UK driver's licence.
• Ability to work in various outdoor environments safely.
• Comfortable working on a rota with shift patterns, including weekends and nights.

Responsibilities

• Support engineers on site during gas service and mains repair activities.
• Excavate/dig in public/private highways to lay and repair gas pipes.
• Maintain the SGN vans and tools before and after each job.
