Qualifications

  • Must have CCN1 (Core Gas Safety) qualification.
  • ACS Gas Qualifications relevant to domestic heating.
  • Minimum 10 years experience as a heating engineer.
  • Gas Safe Registered (or eligible for registration).

  • Install, service, and repair domestic and commercial heating systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve faults efficiently.
  • Carry out gas safety checks and issue certificates.
  • Maintain high standards of customer service and professionalism.

Location: Staffordshire (Stoke-on-Trent & surrounding areas)

Employment Type: Full-time

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am 4:30pm

Salary: £40,000 £42,000 (dependent on experience)

Role Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced and reliable Gas and Heating Engineer to join their established team. You’ll work across domestic and commercial properties, delivering high‑quality installations, servicing, and repairs while representing a trusted local brand.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, service, and repair domestic and commercial heating systems
  • Diagnose and resolve faults efficiently
  • Work on boilers, heating controls, hot water systems, and associated components
  • Carry out gas safety checks and issue certificates
  • Maintain high standards of customer service and professionalism
  • Ensure all work complies with current regulations and company standards
Must‑Have Requirements
  • CCN1 (Core Gas Safety)
  • ACS Gas Qualifications relevant to domestic heating
  • Minimum 10 years experience as a heating engineer
  • Gas Safe Registered (or eligible for registration)
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing & Heating (or equivalent)
  • Strong diagnostic and fault‑finding skills
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Excellent communication and customer facing skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable (Not Essential)
  • LPG or Oil qualifications
  • G3 Unvented Hot Water certification
  • Experience with large commercial installations
  • Bathroom or kitchen installation experience
