A further education institution in Hereford is seeking a full-time Lecturer/Course Tutor in Plumbing & Heating. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and assessing plumbing students and gas apprentices up to Level 3. Responsibilities include conducting progress reviews, competency assessments, and participating in administrative processes related to recruitment and quality monitoring. This role offers a salary up to £38,066 and a permanent contract with a commitment to equality and safeguarding.

The anticipated start date for this post will be 13th April 2026.
To teach a range of theory and practical units to plumbing students and gas apprentices up to Level 3.
In addition, progress reviews and workplace competency assessments will be carried out via site visits for the same cohorts of Level 3 Apprentices working for a range of public and private sector employers across Herefordshire and Shropshire.
The split between teaching and assessing roles will be approximately 50/50% and the post-holder will be based at our campus in Hereford.
As part of the role you will also be expected to carry out the associated organisational/administrative processes including recruitment and placement processes, quality monitoring and reporting, preparation of apprentices for End Point Assessment, and achievement claims. You will also support and participate fully in the ongoing Faculty and College activities to achieve the College’s key mission and objectives.
