Salary

From £25,593 p.a. pro rata dependent on skills and experience.

Job Type

Permanent

Schedule

36 hours per week from April to October, 21.5 hours per week (3 days) from November to March.

Responsibilities
  • Support recruitment, induction and training of staff to deliver agreed service standards and drive sales performance.
  • Line‑manage staff using Performance Development Reviews and a coaching & mentoring style.
  • Schedule shifts to meet the needs of the cafe and staff.
  • Support day‑to‑day delivery of financial targets and manage expenditure budgets, including timely submission of seasonal timesheets.
  • Take on Duty Management shifts on average twice per week.
Qualifications
  • Experience of working in a customer‑facing role in a visitor attraction or food & beverage environment.
  • Experience of managing staff to deliver consistently high standards.
  • Experience of generating profit by meeting income targets and controlling costs.
  • Knowledge of HACCP, Food Safety, allergen and labelling legislation.
