About the Opportunity

Due to continued growth and increasing client demand, we are looking for an enthusiastic and talented Flood Risk Consultant to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a collaborative, forward‑thinking business with strong long‑term growth plans.

In this role, you will prepare Flood Risk Assessments and develop conceptual drainage strategies to support planning applications. You will also have the chance to lead small‑scale projects and work closely with our geo‑environmental team on multi‑disciplinary developments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce Flood Risk Assessments for planning submissions.
  • Develop SuDS strategies and drainage solutions.
  • Coordinate with sub‑consultants (e.g., topographical or CCTV survey providers).
  • Liaise directly with clients, regulatory bodies, and internal team members.
  • Manage small to medium‑scale projects.
  • Contribute to geo‑environmental investigation reports.
Requirements
  • Degree in Geography, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 2+ years' experience in a UK consultancy preparing Flood Risk Assessments and drainage strategies (12 months considered).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and working knowledge of AutoCAD, GIS, and Causeway Flow/Infodrainage (or similar software).
  • Self‑motivated, collaborative, and able to work independently while staying aligned with project requirements.
  • Willingness to work towards professional chartership (e.g., CIWEM).
  • Full UK driving licence.
