A growing engineering company is seeking a Finance Assistant to join their team in Dover. This full-time position involves assisting in financial management, processing invoices, and participating in month-end reporting. Candidates with strong organizational skills and a background in finance are preferred. The role offers a supportive team environment, stable hours, and a commitment to training and development.
Due to our continued growth Mechanica Utilities Ltd are pleased to advertise this exciting opportunity as a Finance Assistant,working from our Dover HQ.
This is a key role responsible for assisting the Finance Manager and Head of Finance in all aspects of our financial management and reporting.
Location: Dover, Kent (HQ-based)
Hours: Full Time – Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm
These will include but are not limited to the following:
Processing online bank payments to suppliers and staff reimbursements
Importing online bank transactions into our accounts software and categorise the revenue and expenditure
Assisting with month end duties, which include producing reports on job costing system, issuing customer statements and reconciling supplier statements within the account’s software
Type up expense claims into spreadsheets and book costs to job costing system, where relevant
Administration of the CIS spreadsheet
Support with any general day to day administration and help in periods of annual leave, which will include creating new suppliers and customers within job costing system and accounts software and assist with the completion of any necessary paperwork
