Overview

Female Casual Care Assistant - £13.38/hr - Cannock, WS12

Casual Personal Support / Care Worker for a lady with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) in Cannock. The role is casual and involves 1:1 or 2:1 support, depending on the shift, to help maintain the client’s independence at home and in the community.

You will be part of a small, friendly team providing personalised care to one client, enabling a meaningful impact through your care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 or 2:1 care support as required.
  • Deliver personal care and support to manage incontinence and maintain skin health.
  • Catheter care where applicable.
  • Moving and handling, including hoisting and position changes.
  • Domestic duties (laundry, cleaning, preparing nutritious meals).
  • Gastrostomy care and administration of prescribed feed, fluids, and medication.
  • Monitor general health and well-being and maintain daily records.
  • Support with meal times due to the client’s dysphagia.
Qualifications and requirements
  • Self-motivated, well-organised, reliable, and a good team player with a caring and compassionate nature.
  • Experience in personal care, incontinence support, catheter care, moving and handling, domestic duties, gastrostomy care, and medication administration.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility to cover annual leave and sickness.
  • Enhanced DBS check required.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK; sponsorship is not offered.
  • Job reference SSL/KF/WS12 to be used on application.
