An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Extra Care Scheme at Hare Hill, Littleborough for an Extra Care Team Leader. The applicant for this new and exciting role must be caring, dedicated, and flexible, possessing a ‘can-do’ approach and attitude, and be motivated to succeed. They should also have the skills to inspire and cultivate the staff team.

Job specification

You will be responsible for:

  • A team of support care workers.
  • Being the first point of contact for the Extra Care Team for any concerns or issues that arise during the shift.
  • Resolving issues and escalating them to the appropriate people when required.
  • Emergency On-call duties on a rolling rota basis to support the service.
  • Conducting appraisals, supervisions, back-to-work interviews and medication competencies to ensure the care team is following Willowbrook Homecare’s Policies and Procedures and adhering to best practices.
  • On occasion, work on shift to deliver high-quality care ( to cover sickness, etc ).
  • The Key to being successful in this position is experience, enthusiasm, motivation and work ethic.

  • Team Leader experience ( preferable) .
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience working within the Health & Social Care sector, in addition to a minimum QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care.
  • IT skills are essential due to various administrative tasks and future digital care development ( Microsoft 365 preferred ).
  • Knowledge of Access ( preferable).
  • A positive and can-do attitude.
  • Be committed to the role.
  • Be tactful and patient.
  • Be creative and proactive.
  • Have an understanding of how people learn.
  • Have an interest in helping people develop their skills.
  • Have good written and spoken communication skills.
  • Be passionate about furthering your knowledge and expertise.
  • Must be detail-driven and able to complete thorough handovers, both verbal and written, at shift end.
  • You must possess a full driving licence and have suitable transport
