Key Responsibilities
- Ensure optimized utilization of the EDC Demo Inventory by establishing Standard Work and subsequently running Daily Management for all European LBS Demo loan processes.
- Ensure agreed Demo stock availability discussed and agreed with EMEA LBS Segment leaders. Freight Management – monitor, adapt & improve freight forwarder performance. Product Sell‑off – ensure targeted sell‑off performance for LBS Europe based on SW for aging Demo Inventory.
- EDC Lab in Newcastle – function as host for the demo lab in Newcastle. Run pre‑calls and consult with the sales team to fit the demo lab to customer needs.
Essential Requirements
- Degree in Life Sciences and/or technical or logistics experience in a relevant industry.
- Multiple years of work experience in a Demo/Logistics environment; medical devices/instruments sales or service; product management or manufacturing.
- Understanding and awareness of the specific customer needs, regulatory limitations and commercial support requirements for a sales unit in a diagnostic market.
- Effective knowledge of SAP; preferably exposure to Demo Management Systems and other EDC‑related processes or alternative ERPs with multiple sales organizations. Alternately strong experience with CRM or other software tools that demonstrate an ability to understand financial & processing complexity.
- Ability to read, write and speak English fluently. A European language would be preferred.
- Demonstrable ability to work in an international environment, understanding cultural requirements and working in a multicultural team.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements
- Ability to travel within EMEA.
- Primary work location is Newcastle. Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 25 kg occasionally.
- Ability to work in a pathology lab environment with occasional exposure to chemical and biological samples. Awareness of lab safety and biological and chemical hazards.
Preferred Experience
- Leica Biosystems equipment from a technical or application perspective.
- Logistics systems and delivery, customs regulations.
- Project management.
