Job Responsibilities

• Carrying out take‑offs and preparation of tender submissions.
• Organise appropriate tender enquiries.
• Administrate correspondence and tender documents.
• Produce accurate and comprehensive estimates in a timely and efficient manner.

Preferred Skills

• Previous estimating experience in the utilities (gas, water and/or power) and/or pipeline industry.
• Production of tenders/prices, rates from first principles.
• Proven track‑record of successful bidding and securing projects.
• Demonstrate a good understanding of project management requirements and associated terminology and techniques.
• Good computer skills, proficient with MS Office software including Project.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Qualifications & Experience

• HNC or Degree (or equivalent).
• Site‑based engineering experience.
• Proven successful estimating experience.
• Considerable variety in types of work priced.
• Good interpersonal skills and an ability to clearly communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Applicants need to be highly organised and self‑motivated.
• A minimum of 5 years experience is required.
