Job description
Overview

Environmental Monitoring Technician, SOCOTEC UK & Ireland – East Kilbride (covering Scotland and northern England). You will predominantly cover an area across Scotland, Cumbria and Tyneside. Interviews will be conducted at the East Kilbride Office.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver a wide variety of site-based monitoring tasks such as trade effluent sampling, water quality sampling, Legionella compliance inspections, water tank disinfections, environmental compliance sampling, environmental water sampling.
  • Work on safety critical client sites and assist with laboratory analysis as required.
  • This is an entry level position and full training will be provided. The role will involve significant travelling, driving and regular working away from home.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The ability to accurately follow procedures
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • The ability to work alone and as part of a team
  • Pass a Sentinel medical and a Network Rail Personal Track safety (PTS) certificate

The main areas we cover are Environmental Monitoring and Consultancy together with specialist laboratories to support our services.
