Are you passionate about improving outcomes for children with additional support needs? Do you have an Early Years qualification and a desire to try something new? If so, this may be the post for you.

We are looking for an Enhanced Provision Outreach Practitioner to join our team. Your role will be to provide advice and outreach support to mainstream primary schools to help meet the needs of children with a wide range of additional support needs. There will be a particular focus on primaries 1 and 2, but the role is to work with children and young people up to age 13.

The successful candidate will be offered a comprehensive induction programme and access to a range of professional learning opportunities through Aberdeenshire's Professional Learning Framework.

This post is attached to the Aboyne Cluster and flexible working across the Cluster is required. There is also a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Minimum of two references, one of which must be from your current or most recent employer.
  • Early Years qualification (preferred).
  • Work regulated under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007, requiring PVG Scheme membership or an update check.
  • If you have spent a continuous period of three months or more outside the UK in the last five years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check is required and must be provided.
  • SSSC registration within three months of employment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and quality service delivery.
