Job description
Overview

Engineering Level 4 Higher Apprenticeship 2026 at MBDA. This role offers a Level 4 Diploma Engineering Manufacturing Technician through Cambridge Regional College with a four-year programme combining college study, practical placements and professional qualifications.

Responsibilities / Programme Structure
  • Study towards a Level 4 Diploma Engineering Manufacturing Technician at Cambridge Regional College, with a blend of virtual and face-to-face delivery.
  • Work within MBDA on rotational placements typically lasting three to six months across various departments including Mechanical Design, Missile Design (Hardware-In-The-Loop), Manufacturing, Integration and Systems Validation, Customer Support, Environmental Engineering, Quality, Procurement, and Drawing Office.
  • Spend one day per week at college; remaining time on placements to gain hands-on experience and develop professional skills.

GCSEs

  • BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma minimum MMM including Distinction in Further Maths, or
  • T-Level in an Engineering subject with Pass/ Merit/ Distinction

Note: We assess entry criteria based on your top three full A Levels or equivalent; UCAS points from Extended Project Qualification are not included. Criteria may differ from university requirements as set by the employer.
