We are looking for one Apprentice to join Eisai’s Engineering Team based within our leading Manufacturing site in Hatfield, UK. Our Engineering Team is a broad function focusing on learning and developing multi-disciplined engineering skills to enable them to be able to safely carry out routine maintenance and fault finding on engineering and pharmaceutical equipment and systems.

Role: Engineering Apprentice

Location: Hatfield Hertfordshire

Salary: Starting from £21,048 and increasing annually based on performance

Working arrangement: A blend of office days and college days

Apprenticeship offered: Engineering Apprentice

Length of programme: 4 years

Role Requirements
  • Multi-skilled engineering apprentice working within the Engineering Department of Eisai Manufacturing’s oral solid dose manufacturing and Packaging facility.
  • Learn and abide by Good Manufacturing Practises (GMP’s).
  • Day to day running and maintenance of precision engineered pharmaceutical equipment.
  • Development of novel technology.

The Engineering apprenticeship Level 3 will be provided by Harlow College. The duration is 4 years and 3 months. You will have block release of college days and office days.

This individual will also need to hold 5 GCSEs or equivalent at grade C and above including Maths, English and Science. You will also need to be IT literate.

Recruitment Process

Step one: Apply.

The first thing to do is to apply to one of our well-sought-after programmes. You will upload a CV and fill in some personal details so we can be in touch. We will review your application and ensure that you are fully eligible for the programme you have applied for. Our application process opens on 2nd February and closes on the 1st March.

Step two: Video Interview.

If you are successful at the first stage, you will be invited to take part in a one-way video interview process. This allows you to showcase yourself at a time and pace that suits you. We will be transparent in the process about the questions you will answer to allow you time to put your best foot forward. All video interviews will be scored by 16th March.

Step three: Face to face interview.

It’s as important to us as it is to you to make sure we find the correct fit, so any successful applicant will be invited to our Hatfield Headquarters for a two-hour interview. We want you to see the site you will be working in, so we will offer you a tour alongside an assessment centre that will include a face-to-face interview, presentation and individual task. This sounds very daunting, but the Emerging Talent Team will guide you through this process so you will know what you need to prepare ahead of the day. Our assessment centre/interview for this role is: 31st March

Step four: Offer.

Any successful candidate will be offered the vacancy they have applied for. Unsuccessful candidates will receive full feedback at this stage, with ideas and tips of where they can improve for future applications.

We aim to get back to you at each stage within seven working days, however, please note in busy periods this may increase. Please do not worry if you have not heard from us within our allocated time frame, we will endeavour to get back to you as soon as possible. All offers and contracts will be sent by 13th April 2026. Should you be successful, you will be invited to an in-person event on the 14th May 2026 which will allow you to meet your fellow cohort and find out more about Eisai. After this, you will be added to a group Teams channel where you will be able to find out more information and chat with your peers.
