Overview

Breakthrough technology is vital for strengthening the UK’s Defence & Homeland Security. As an Electronics / RF Engineer at Awerian, you will be at the forefront of this innovation race by helping to defend and protect the UK from the latest technological and cyber threats.

Responsibilities

• Operate at the boundary of technological exploration by inventing new solutions and enhancing existing hardware.
• Analyse, perform computational modelling, prototype design, invention, laboratory testing, process development, and manufacturing.
• Tackle complex electronic engineering challenges that test your understanding of engineering fundamentals and physical principles beyond pure electronics.
• Collaborate with elite multi-disciplinary teams of scientists, engineers, and designers to explore pioneering concepts and create prototypes through rapid design and implementation.

Requirements

• Typically 3+ years of relevant experience in electronics development, in particular RF PCB design and characterisation, with a proven track record of design and implementation of technological solutions.
• Hold a relevant degree. Proven experience with RF design tools (for example ADS, Microwave Office, CST) is essential.
• Desirable: experience in RADAR or communications applications; Microwave RF design; end-to-end electronics development and test; high speed digital PCB design; antenna design; DSP; scripting for test and modelling (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, Python).
• We are keen to hear from engineers with broad experience in any sector. Previous or current experience in the defence industry is desirable but not essential.
• You will need to be eligible for UK security clearance.
• Please note this role is not eligible for UKVI sponsorship visa scheme.
