Job Overview

Electrician / Fitter role at Tardis Environmental UK Ltd. The position is based out of our Telford depot and involves installing and maintaining temporary site welfare offices, toilets blocks and cabins across the UK.

Responsibilities

• Install and set up site welfare offices, cabins and office blocks.
• Test and maintain electrical hire equipment, including portable toilets and pumps (PAT testing).
• Attend plant breakdowns and perform on‑site troubleshooting.
• Perform general maintenance and minor electrical tasks alongside plumbers/water technicians.
• Support 2‑man joint jobs and other non‑electrical duties as required.

Requirements

• Commercial 19th Edition electrical licence.
• NVQ or equivalent Level 2/3 college courses.
• Fully qualified and competent in electrical maintenance.
• Willing to undertake varied duties and travel between sites.

Salary & Benefits

£18.50 per hour (negotiable on experience). Minimum 40 hours per week with overtime available during busy periods. Company provided van, mobile phone and uniform. Annual holiday entitlement of 28 days (including 8 bank holidays) with additional days for tenure, up to 5 extra days. Workplace pension scheme.

Working Hours

Min 40 hours per week. Overtime may be required; occasional overnight stays are covered with hotel accommodation and a meal voucher or cash alternative.
