Job summary

A regional NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Maintenance Craftsperson with an electrical background to join their Estates Team. The role involves providing maintenance services for Trust-owned buildings, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and participating in an on-call service. Candidates should have a recognised electrical apprenticeship and significant post-apprenticeship experience. The position offers opportunities for working in various Trust sites within Teesside and aims to support the wellbeing of the community through effective mental health services.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient and cost-effective maintenance and repair service.
• Carry out installation and improvement works.
• Assist other trades and contractors as needed.
• Ensure all tools and equipment are tested and maintained.
• Participate in the Estates out of hours on-call service.

Skills

Understanding of associated trades and relationships

Ability to travel independently

Time management and prioritization

Thoroughness and attention to detail

Experience in confined spaces

Experience working in an NHS environment

Multi-skilled electrical experience

Significant post-apprenticeship experience

Education

Successful completion of recognised electrical bias apprenticeship

NVQ Level 3 (Electrical Bias) or equivalent

Numeracy and Literacy to level 2
