A&P Tyne, CAD Draftsman

Were looking for someone to create and update our Fabrication Drawings using CAD. If you are passionate about working precisely, understand fabrication and paying close attention to detail with CAD this might be for you.

Who are A&P Tyne?

With the largest dry dock on the East Coast as well as a 24,000 square metre Fabrication Hall, we integrate engineering and production teams to work collaboratively. We offer comprehensive marine engineering capabilities, including 2 dry docks capable of accommodating a variety of vessel sizes, alongside berthing with ample space for repair and maintenance works, a fabrication shed featuring a panel line and we have a machining shop. We have a high bay construction hall, a panel line, profile cutting and sub-assembly areas. As we continue to grow, we are building our skilled team to support the accuracy, quality, and reliability of our projects. Using in-house capabilities to maintain tight project control we work closely together with our customers to deliver what they need, as they need it, when they need it.

So what will you do?

• Produce fabrication drawings to relevant standards and procedures.
• Ensure all drawings and work instructions are kept up to date.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand design specifications and project requirements and create 2D and 3D models of structures, components, and systems.
• Generate steel material/plate/section quantity estimates in MS Word for estimating new projects.
• Use the CNC nesting program to produce production cutting nests based on plate thickness.
• Record all steel plate details using Excel spreadsheets and a CAD format for stock control and audit purposes.
