Job summary

A local hospitality group in Northern Ireland is seeking a Head Chef to oversee all kitchen operations, from menu planning to team management. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of kitchen experience, with 2 years in a senior role. Responsibilities include ensuring food quality and controlling costs, as well as maintaining hygiene standards. The position requires NVQ Level 2 & 3 in Food Preparation and Cooking, along with an Intermediate Food Safety Certificate. A flexible work schedule is expected.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a busy kitchen environment, with 2+ years at a senior level.
  • Experience in menu planning and pricing.
  • Full knowledge of EHO regulations and record keeping.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day kitchen operations ensuring food quality.
  • Control costs and quality of incoming and outgoing goods.
  • Supervise kitchen training for junior staff.
