Job summary

A digital marketing agency in Gloucester is seeking a Finance and Administration Officer to manage financial reporting and HR processes. Job description

Our agency JVWEB is a pure player in digital marketing (SEA, SEO, SMA) with over 20 years of experience across Europe and 100 employees.

We are recruiting for our UK subsidiary, OCERE, which is composed of 15 employees.

You will work closely with our French parent company and external accountants, ensuring accurate financial reporting, smooth payroll processes, and efficient internal administration.

Directly reporting to the Group CFO based in Montpellier, France, your responsibilities will be as follows:

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing bookkeeping and reconciliations in Xero
  • Issuing client invoices and handling billing queries, manage client invoicing and Sales Administration tasks
  • Understanding project stages and ensuring accurate, timely invoicing
  • Preparing month-end financial information
  • Liaising with accountants on VAT, reporting, and compliance
  • Coordinating payroll and salary payments
  • Supporting credit control processes
  • Month-end preparation in line with owners’ and accountants’ requirements
HR & Administration
  • Employee onboarding and offboarding administration
  • Supporting employment contracts and legal documentation
  • Managing and approving holiday and HR requests
  • Maintaining employee records and HR documentation on our software LUCCA
  • Supporting compliance with UK employment requirements
Key Requirements
  • Proven experience in a finance role
  • Strong working knowledge of Xero
  • Comfortable liaising with external accountants and international stakeholders
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Confident communicator in English (written and spoken)
  • Experience in finance within an SME or agency environment
  • Confidence working independently and managing priorities
  • Experience with HR administration desirable

Location: Hybrid – Gloucester, UK - 2 days per month in the office. Also 1 x per year trip to France.
