Job description
Overview

Temporary Funding agreed until 31st March 2028. Operating in accordance with the Children Act 1989 and the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014, the Resilient Families Service is committed to ensuring the effective delivery of Team Around the Family initiatives throughout the County Borough.

Within the Resilient Families Service, the Assessment, Brokerage and Review Team is responsible for providing prompt responses to referrals, ensuring the positive engagement of families. The team conducts proportionate, resilience-based assessments and develops tailored support plans utilising a range of available interventions. Additionally, the team oversees the delivery of high-quality support services from a variety of providers.

Role

We are seeking to appoint a Temporary full-time Engagement and Assessment Officer to join the Assessment, Brokerage and Review Team (WEST). The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking assessments with families across Rhondda Cynon Taf (RCT) and must have demonstrable experience in conducting assessments with children and families.

Qualifications
  • Applicants should hold a Level 3 Children and Young People qualification in Health and Social Care (QCF), or a predecessor NVQ Level 3 in Caring for Children and Young People or demonstrate the ability to achieve the QCF within two years of being assigned an assessor.
