Salary: £31,537.00 - £33,699.00 per annum pro rata (Grade 5 / SCP 18-22).

Job Scale: Grade 5

Job Hours: 35 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Lead member of the staff team and senior practitioner for the direct day-to-day care of children and young people, including other supportive tasks and duties. Manage contentious and complex matters as required.
• Support the Manager in planning and ensuring the safe delivery of evidence-based interventions, working directly with children/young people and their families to secure swift return home or move to a longer-term placement.
• Coordinate and provide a service that supports children/young people, their families, and foster placements where there is a risk of disruption or breakdown.
• Supervise staff and undertake on-call duties.
• Deputise for the Registered Manager in their absence, including evening and weekend work and sleep-in duties as required.
• Adhere to the standards: QCF Diploma Level 3 in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) or the predecessor NVQ Level III in Care.
