Job summary

A prominent Lloyd’s Syndicate is looking for a qualified Senior Capital Actuary to lead a small team and work closely with senior management. This is an excellent opportunity to utilize your technical skills in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities include overseeing model builds, managing regulatory issues, and shaping the strategic direction of the Actuarial function. Candidates with Lloyd’s experience preferred, but applicants from Personal Lines or Consulting will also be considered.

Job description

A prominent Lloyd’s Syndicate have engaged Goodman Masson as they enhance their team through the recruitment of a new Senior Capital Actuary.

Reporting into the Head of Capital Modelling, this represents an excellent opportunity for a qualified (or nearly-qualified) Actuary to apply their technical skills in a dynamic, growing environment.

On a day to day basis the Senior Capital Actuary will:

• Oversee a small team of Analysts
• Work with the Head of Capital and Chief Actuary to set the strategic direction of the Actuarial function
• Oversee model builds in ReMetrica
• Take ownership of regulatory issues e.g Lloyd’s Capital Returns

Those with Lloyd’s experience are strongly preferred however if you are a qualified Capital Actuary working in Personal Lines / Consulting, your application will also be considered. Solvency II knowledge will also be highly beneficial.
