Responsibilities as a HR Business Partner
- Serve as a people and culture partner to people managers in the UK, providing guidance and support in all areas of human resources management.
- Develop and implement Global HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business objectives.
- Work closely with the People Learning & Development Specialist to foster a culture of growth and development.
- Collaborate with management to identify talent needs and develop effective talent acquisition strategies.
- Partner with the global TA team when required to support recruitment, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new employees.
- Conduct employee evaluations and performance reviews, providing feedback and coaching to drive employee development.
- Partner with people managers to address employee relations issues and ensure a positive work environment.
- Assist in the development and execution of strategic workforce planning initiatives.
- Work closely with the Facilities Manager to support coordination of site requirements, including monitoring facility standards, ensuring office opening/closing availability, issuing security passes, and supporting visitors to the UK office.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations.
- Support and enable the diversity, equity and inclusion agenda of Vitalograph in the UK.
- Manage ER matters: grievance, disciplinary and dignity at work matters and conduct workplace investigations where required.
- Implement organisational changes including promotions and role reporting lines.
- Collaborate with payroll to ensure accuracy of time and attendance records and implementation of salary/benefit changes.
- Maintain health and wellbeing plans for Vitalograph in the UK.
- Participate in UK Employee Resource Groups, supporting event planning, fundraisers and biannual UK team social events.
- Ensure all HR administrative records are updated and maintained.
- Weekly and monthly HR reporting; analyse HR data metrics to generate business insights.
- Continuously update HRIS system and analyse data to ensure accuracy.
Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to provide detailed, insightful updates to colleagues and business partners.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
- Experience with talent management: performance management, succession planning, and leadership development.
- Experience managing redundancy and/or other relevant HR projects.
- Outstanding administrative and time‑management skills.
- Proactive, with a sense of urgency.
- Self‑aware and able to learn quickly; desire for continuous improvement.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to act independently to resolve ambiguous situations.
- Professional and commercial approach to HR.
- Excellent interpersonal and coaching/mentoring skills.
- Discretionary judgement and confidentiality in all HR related matters.
Educational Requirements
- 3rd level degree (or above) in HR or related discipline.
- Desirable: CIPD qualification and membership.
- 4+ years HR experience at Business Partner/Generalist level within a multinational or large‑scale corporate environment, preferably in medical devices/healthcare.
- Strong IT skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
