About the role

Full Time Educational Psychologist (temporary maternity cover) to start in January 2026. The salary is Soulbury Scale A, points 1-6 (£43,483 - £53,995) with an opportunity to attain up to 3 SPA. The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable; the authority will support candidates to further develop their Welsh language whilst in post. Ceredigion is a rural area with a coastline and active communities. We work with schools to provide high standards in education and strong collaboration between schools and central services.

We are looking for an educational psychologist to join our happy and enthusiastic team within the wider ALN, Inclusion and Wellbeing Service. The Educational Psychology Service is well respected within Schools Services. The successful candidate will undertake the full range of psychological services within the county to facilitate change, raise standards and ensure educational inclusion. We work closely with our schools, adopting a solution-focused approach in our consultations and a preventative mindset, using a range of psychological techniques to make a difference for pupils.

We welcome applicants who can start immediately or within the next 4-6 months. To maintain ethical standards, it is essential to be registered, and to maintain continued registration, with the HCPC.
