Description
As part of our IHP Delivery Team, you’ll play a key role in shaping and delivering new functionality across our Insurer Hosted Pricing platform and integrated broker systems. You’ll ensure business outcomes are fully understood and embedded within an evolving programme of work, supporting the growth of our broking distribution network and the increasing sophistication of our pricing capabilities.
What you'll be responsible for:
Requirement Definition
- Gather and analyse business requirements, using appropriate requirements documentation and management processes, encompassing functional and non-functional requirements
- Feasibility assessment and business case analysis
- Defining fixes and creating requirements for changes
Business Process Improvement
- Engage core stakeholders to drive awareness and buy-in
- Identify and manage internal and external dependencies, affecting solution design/implementation
- Recommend business solution options and support their detailed evaluation
Stakeholder Engagement
- Demonstrate conceptual thinking and research skills, facilitating the design of solutions which account for future developments and changes
- Ability to shape and size project backlogs, enabling stakeholders to make informed decisions
Development & Professionalism
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the services and products within the industry
- Keep abreast of the industry trends and best practice, sharing these with the wider community and applying as and when appropriate
Risk Management
- To proactively identify, manage and mitigate business risks encountered as part of day to day role.
Regulatory
- Act with integrity, adhering to regulatory frameworks set out by the FCA ensuring best possible outcomes for our customers.
What you'll need:
- Experience of business analysis, ideally in Financial Services/Insurance
- Understanding of the market/Financial Services industry and the regulatory/legislation framework governing it
- Proven ability to deliver business solutions for strategic projects and programmes, balancing cost, quality and time
- Understand industry best practice and standards and apply the right tools and methodologies
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to find and develop cost effective solutions that meet or exceed business needs
- Confidence working with complex data and systems
- An understanding of how IT can be used to resolve problems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work with people at all levels of an organisation
- Problem-solving skills
