If so, Steer Automotive Group has an exciting opportunity for a Regional VDA Supervisor to play a pivotal role in driving excellence across our network.
About the Role
As Regional VDA Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing VDA standards across multiple sites, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency. Acting as a key link between our sites, insurers, and internal stakeholders, you will support audit readiness, deliver training, and drive continuous improvement.
This is a hands‑on, influential role where your expertise will directly impact performance, productivity, and customer outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate insurer audits, collating data, supporting sites through outcomes, and ensuring leakage remains below agreed thresholds
- Deliver VDA training both on‑site and off‑site to ensure consistent estimating standards and best practice
- On‑site training aligned to audit results
- Quarterly off‑site training sessions
- Act as the primary operational point of contact for site‑based VDA queries and guidance
- Conduct monthly internal audits, focusing on estimate accuracy and insurer compliance
- Work closely with underperforming sites to raise standards through coaching and support
- Manage and respond to insurer queries, including safety issues, unactioned jobs, and engineer‑related matters
- Monitor invoicing priorities to prevent late invoicing penalties, particularly with key partners
- Analyse average repair hours and work on‑site with VDAs and managers to improve productivity
- Conduct weekly Teams meetings with site VDAs to review performance and share best practice
Knowledge & Experience
- Extensive knowledge of the vehicle repair industry, legislation, and trade practices
- Significant experience using Audatex and GT Global estimating systems
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Demonstrated experience in coaching, developing, and influencing teams
- Excellent planning, organisational, communication, and time management skills
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
- In-depth understanding of VDA processes and insurer requirements
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- High attention to detail with excellent analytical and auditing capability
- Confident trainer and mentor, able to raise standards across multiple locations
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
