Job description

Brunton’s Propellers Limited is a successful growing company, located in Clacton-on-Sea, Essex. We are looking to recruit a dedicated individual who demonstrates a broad range of sales skills. The new sales role will provide sales support for our customer base and worldwide dealership network. Whilst primarily an internal sales role it will include occasional attendance of international exhibitions and events. The role demands excellent verbal and written communication skills, knowledge of technical drawings and specifications and a strong ability to multi-task. The successful candidate will be expected to manage a varied workload and use their initiative to determine appropriate work priorities. The candidate must have a keen or possibly even passionate interest in marine and ideally sailing experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct administration duties including answering phone calls, responding to emails and following up enquiries for our product range.
  • Provide exceptional customer service before and after the sale.
  • Identify potential customers through various methods.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring exceptional customer service.
  • Provide technical sales support (after suitable product training) to both trade and end user customers.
  • Manage orders from technical specification (after suitable product training) through to manufacturing.
What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience in a sales role within the marine industry or a closely related sector.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Technical sales competence and ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • A results-driven, team-oriented individual with a positive mind-set.
  • Must have previously worked in a customer interfacing role.
  • Proven ability to work under own initiative and prioritise tasks and projects to achieve deadlines.
  • General computer literacy and telecoms skills.
  • Marine or engineering experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Passion for technical products and the Marine industry.
  • Whilst not essential (experience and skills are also valued) a marine/engineering/business degree would be beneficial.

The role is primarily office based and a competitive salary package will be offered to candidates who demonstrate the required skills and experience. This is a full time role (38 hours per week).
