A biotechnology company in Cambridge is seeking a Scientific Inside Sales Representative for a 12-month fixed term role. The Scientific Inside Sales Representative identifies new business accounts and develops loyal repeat customers via excellent customer service and scientific support. Working in a team with Field Sales Representatives, supports finding and growing new business by driving territory specific campaigns.

Please note that this role is a 12 month fixed term role for leave coverage.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Contribute to revenue targets in assigned territory by identifying and targeting potential new customers through incoming leads, and literature analysis
  • Document communications and keep up to date the customer relationship management (CRM) database.
  • Create high-quality opportunities in Salesforce Customer Relationship Management database; partner with Field Sales or Distributors to close win
  • Support incoming customer requests through toll-free phone and online chat platform
  • Work closely with Field Sales to manage and forecast the sales funnel
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's of Science degree or equivalent (e.g. Engineering, Medical Laboratory Sciences, etc.) with less than 2 years of related experience
  • Strong communication skills, including through phones and emails
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with potential customers
  • Hands on experience in a laboratory setting
  • A track record of being proactive and assertive in accomplishing goals

The posted salary is inclusive of base salary and commissions.

The annual salary for this job ranges from £51,200.00 - £69,200.00. STEMCELL determines an individual’s pay within the range based on multiple factors including experience, education, job-related skills, and equity within the team or organization. For jobs that are eligible for sales incentives, the range noted above is inclusive of target incentives; actual incentives are based on individual performance results in accordance with company policy. In addition to base salary, STEMCELL offers a comprehensive total rewards package that may include health benefits, retirement savings, and more (depending on region).
