A construction and design firm in Northern Ireland is seeking a Senior Licensed Architect to manage the complete design process from schematic design through construction. The ideal candidate will possess a professional degree in Architecture, have 6-8 years of experience, and be proficient in Revit. This role involves collaboration with clients and mentoring junior colleagues, with opportunities for career progression within the team. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are essential.
GO Logic LLC is committed to designing and building durable, beautiful, and energy-efficient buildings. We are a full-service design + build firm based in Midcoast Maine that specializes in panelized residential construction.
We are currently seeking a full-time Senior Licensed Architect to participate in projects through all phases of design and construction. A team member in this role should have knowledge of current codes and building standards, with the ability to clearly communicate and execute these within a full set of Construction Documents. This person is a creative, initiative-taking design professional who can employ current technologies to communicate with clients, our in-house shop drawing team, as well as our construction crews and outside general contractors. The Senior Licensed Architect will have the opportunity to work into the role of the design team manager (4 designers currently in a company of 40+ employees)
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
• Manage the complete design process from schematic design through construction administration, collaborating with clients, builders, other design team members, and consultants.
• Apply sound architectural and design techniques in the preparation of all phases of documentation.
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize, with creative problem-solving.
• Demonstrate strong verbal, written, and graphic communication skills.
• Contribute to the mentorship of junior colleagues.
• Work toward the team manager role with responsibilities of assigning projects and workload, reviewing budgets and productivity, and maintaining client connections during transitions between sales to design and design to construction.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Professional degree in Architecture
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in ME and other Northeast states
• Project and Team management experience
• Additional sustainability or technical accreditations encouraged
• Minimum 6-8 years of experience
• Elevated level of Revit proficiency with basic proficiency in AutoCAD
• Familiar with Passive House or high-performance building concepts and terminology
• Experience with design for manufacturing and/or panelized construction in a Design-Build setting is a plus
