In this exciting role, you will be at the forefront of training RAF technicians on the avionics systems of the P-8A Poseidon aircraft, ensuring they are fully equipped to perform maintenance activities.**Key Responsibilities:**As an Avionics Instructor, you will:* **Mentor trainees:** Guide and support RAF technicians, helping them to excel in their roles.* **Prepare Lessons:** Craft engaging and informative lessons that captivate and educate.* **Deliver Instruction:** Teach the course content passion and precision.* **Conduct Post-Lesson Activities:** Follow up with trainees to reinforce learning and address any questions.* **Perform Additional Duties:** Take on any other tasks that contribute to the success of our training programs.**Engineering Instruction:**You will deliver comprehensive training on:* **P-8A Q-Course for Engineers:** Equip engineers with the knowledge they need to excel.* **CMMS Courses:** Train all users on the Computerised Maintenance Management System.* **General Familiarisation Course:** Provide an overview of the P-8A Poseidon aircraft and its systems.* **Engine Ground Run Training:** Support engine ground run training**Background Required*** A background specialising in avionics (preferably on military aircraft) to deliver training instruction;* At least 2 years' experience of RAF engineering instruction on multi-engine aircraft and knowledge of complex sensors and processing systems, including Electro-Optical Infra-Red (EOIR);* Experience of aircraft Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS); and* Will have successfully completed the Defence Train the Trainer (DTTT) Phase 3 course.**Security requirements*** You must be able to obtain or transfer UK SC clearance (likely to require 5 years of UK residency).# **About CAE***At CAE, our mission is clear: to help make the world a safer place.
