Additional duties may include transfer of patients within the unit and other areas of the hospital and escorting patients to other departments, and general housekeeping duties including making hot drinks for patients post procedures.

Participates in cleaning, stocking up and other non-clinical duties as required to ensure the smooth running of the department. Cleaning of equipment as per Infection Control Guidelines. Transfer of patients within the unit and other areas of the hospital and escorting patients to other departments. Maintaining stock areas clean, tidy and maintaining stock supplies on the unit. The post holder is expected to be flexible, multi task, and have the ability to work within a team and independently without direct supervision. The post holder will be expected to provide a vital supporting role to the Emergency Department carrying tasks which will include but not limited to patient and non-patient portering, general cleaning and housekeeping duties including making hot drinks for patients post procedures.
