Acting as the key contact for customers, this role works across the Branch network to ensure orders are managed, while building strong relationships, identifying new opportunities, whilst actively supporting the growth of sales across assigned account portfolio.**Key Responsibilities:*** Manage and grow your assigned account portfolio.* Develop trust relationships with a portfolio of customers to maintain and improve profitability* Be proactive, responsive, and visible, including regular site visits and customer check-ins.* Simplify the customer experience by ensuring close management of all owned accounts* Follow up and requote projects as required to meet or exceed agreed revenue, margin, and growth targets across assigned customer base.* Work closely with branches to ensure customer orders are prioritised, accurate, and aligned to site schedules and specific delivery requirements.* Provide specification & product data as required.* Support customers with the on-boarding of their new account, ensuring that they start and continue to spend.* Acquire a thorough understanding of customer needs and requirements, expanding relationships by continuously proposing solutions that meet the customer’s needs* Works with the branch teams on agreeing and setting new terms of trade for all accounts* Target dormant and lapsed accounts to reactivate them.**Experience Required:*** Experience within a sales, account management or customer support role.* Commercial and pricing awareness of margins, rebates, delivery charges, and credit processes.* Clear and professional communicator across phone, email, and in-person; able to build relationships with customers at all levels, local branches, suppliers and regional support teams .* Project coordination, prioritisation and multitasking skills.* Organisational skills with ability to manage your own diary.* Full UK Driving licence.* Experience within builders’ merchant, supplier, or construction-related role is desirable.* Retirement Savings Plan (Pension) – with Legal & General.* Life Assurance - From your first day of employment with us you are automatically covered for a lump-sum death in service benefit of 2 x your basic salary.
