The Content Editor role will suit a whip-smart, experienced writer and editor with a deep grasp of technology, business and global trends. Fluent in the world and ideas of WIRED, the ideal candidate will bring at least five years’ experience producing rigorously researched, thought-provoking content that delivers results. In this role, you will work closely with our Director of Content, Consultants and external clients to drive thought-leading work from insight to execution—leading on research, commissioning, editing and production, and serving as a writer where required. You will ensure every project is rigorously on-brand, creatively executed and aligned to client objectives.Life at WIRED Consulting is fast-paced and sees us executing a range of high-profile projects for global organisations. We win because we care about pushing the boundaries of excellence and delivering work that is truly stand-out. * Working with external clients and internal project leads to understand client objectives and ensure narratives are crafted accordingly.* Researching, generating ideas, creating synopses, booking interviews, working with writers on drafts and editing copy, and shepherding projects through the production process.* Where required, writing content yourself.* Working with design teams and project leads to create design briefs that ensure that content is brought to life through appropriately scoped illustrations that support the narrative.* Supporting video storyboarding and script-writing.* Being ruthless about deadlines.* Having an unfailing focus on delivering excellent outputs that WIRED Consulting can be proud of and thinking creatively about how we can take these to the next level.* Continually building knowledge around ‘all things WIRED’ through reading, events and other knowledge-building activities.
