Job summary

A property management company based in Birmingham seeks an Accounts Payable professional. Your role will involve managing supplier accounts and processing payments while ensuring the highest quality of service. We seek someone with proven customer service experience and an AAT level 3 or similar qualification. Responsibilities

  • Reconcile supplier accounts monthly according to policy.
  • Post invoices to the supplier ledger.
  • Prepare BACS files for payment.
  • Process leaseholder/tenant refunds.
  • Address supplier-related queries.
  • Manage various email inboxes.
  • Conduct monthly bank reconciliations.

What you’ll be doing

No two days are the same, but the tasks below offer a glimpse of what to expect. If you don’t meet every point but believe you have the skills to succeed, we encourage you to apply.

Accounts Payable Procedure:

  • Monthly reconciliation of supplier accounts to statements in line with our no statement no payment policy, mitigating risk of erroneous payments
  • Posting of invoices to the supplier ledger in MRI/Dwellant (MCP)
  • Preparation of BACS files for payment run for sign off by the AP Team Leader
  • Processing leaseholder / tenant refunds
  • Providing remittances to suppliers
  • Addressing internal and external supplier related queries

Other duties as required to include (but not exclusive to):

  • Taking phone calls and liaising with stakeholders as necessary
  • Managing the various email inboxes on designated days
  • Resolving of accounts queries where applicable
  • Monthly bank reconciliations carried out within 15 working days post month end
What you need to succeed
  • Proven experience of working in a customer service and / or property management environment is desirable
  • AAT level 3 or similar
