Working Hours: Up to 40 hours per week available.

We are currently recruiting for a Support Worker to join our team at Cornerstones Trowbridge

At Cornerstones Trowbridge we provide residential services and support for up to 6 individuals with learning disabilities, autism and challenging behaviours. The home environment offers 6 bedrooms with two on the ground floor and the rest on the first floor, a large open living space, a good size kitchen so that daily living skills can be developed, an enclosed garden and easy access by foot to local countryside and the canal.

We ensure that support is provided to individuals in the most person-centered way possible, ensuring they are treated with dignity and respect and have meaningful choice and control in their lives every day.

The role of a National Care Group Support Worker

You will work with young adults who have complex needs. We are looking for a respectful and caring individual who can passionately support our young adults to fulfil their potential. This is a sometimes-challenging role but one with huge rewards.

• You will build positive relationships with people by listening, discussing, and then planning goals and ambitions together.
• You will help to plan their daily tasks and assist with practical activities such as cooking, cleaning and running errands.
• You will assist with personal care, which may include support with eating and administering medication.
• You will help to plan and participate in any exciting days out they wish to enjoy.
• You will make a positive impact on someone's life by supporting them to become more independent wherever possible.
