Role Overview

Position: Trainee White Goods Engineer – Stevenage (Customer Service Centre) Location: Stevenage, with recruitment in Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, North London, North West London, and Enfield Employment type: Permanent, Full Time Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus quarterly bonus Shift pattern: Average 41 hours per week, 5 over 7 rota (some Saturday rostered) – No Sundays The role is part of Currys’ White Goods Repair Team, a high‑NPS, world‑class 1st‑visit fix environment.

Responsibilities

• Test, diagnose, and repair white goods in customers’ homes
• Apply and share technical knowledge across a range of white goods appliances
• Drive a company van and manage your day effectively
• Build our reputation as a home services expert

Qualifications

• Repair or installation experience with electric or electro‑mechanical products (e.g., field services engineering, trainee plumbing or electrical services, domestic or consumer electrical installation experience or training)
• Basic electrical knowledge – demonstrable competence in theory and practice
• A passion for delivering great customer service
• Ability to handle heavy white goods (washing machines, dishwashers, etc.)
• A full valid UK driving licence with no more than six penalty points
