Priory Hospital Nelson House is looking to recruit a Mental Health Nurse to join the team. Located in Gosport, Hampshire, Priory Hospital Nelson House is a rehabilitation service which offers both level 1 and level 2 care, supporting males presenting with mental health conditions and complex needs, who may also have behaviours that challenge and substance misuse issues.
You’ll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the hospital and to support the wellbeing of our patients. Whether you're assisting with day-to-day operations, supporting with care requirements, keeping things organised, or ensuring our spaces are well looked after, your support plays an important part in creating a positive experience for those who live and work here.

The candidate is a Qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with active NMC registration, having completed a preceptorship programme and gained 6–12 months of post-registration experience. They possess a solid understanding of NMC guidelines, requirements, and professional practices, supported by evidence of ongoing continuing professional development. They demonstrate a positive attitude, with a strong commitment to change, improvement, and quality in practice, while also showing the ability to develop and apply flexible, innovative approaches to care. With excellent verbal and written communication skills, they bring at least six months of experience working within mental health or learning disabilities care environments, further strengthened by continued professional growth in their field.
