Electrician

Sanctuary provides in-house repair and maintenance services across a wide portfolio of properties. We have an opportunity for an Electrician to join our team in the Midlands. The role involves a variety of lone and team‑based work. You will primarily be responsible for inspecting and testing occupied properties, producing Electrical Condition Reports, and carrying out remedial works. You will be provided with a company van and power tools, and training will be given as required.

The base location for this position is Sutton Coldfield; occasional travel to other sites will be required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test properties, completing all EICRs and remedial work required, ensuring safety and compliance.
• Provide accurate and timely information on progress, giving clear advice to the customer and completing accurate daily work records.
• Complete all paperwork and produce certification associated with works undertaken.
• Monitor and maintain van stock, ensuring tools and equipment are kept in suitable condition.
• Resolve problems or set into motion means of resolution, keeping customers informed in line with agreed processes and within contract and service specifications.

Skills and Experiences

• NVQ Level 3 in core electrics, City & Guilds 2391-52 18th Edition (3rd and 4th amendment) and AM2 – holders must bring original certification. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted.
• Working knowledge of the application of Health & Safety legislation.
• Analysing and diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with a customer‑focused approach.
• Full valid UK driving licence to drive a company vehicle.

• £39,799 per annum (rising to £41,894 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance).

Employment Package & Salary

£39,799-£41,894 per year. 40 hours per week – Monday to Friday.
