Responsibilities
- Drive the creation of exceptional user journeys across Goodlord’s platform to enhance the renting experience for agents, tenants, landlords, and guarantors.
- Collaborate intimately with Product Managers and Engineers to shape product strategy and deliver comprehensive, end‑to‑end design solutions.
- Champion design quality throughout the product lifecycle, from research and concept development to implementation and iterative refinement.
- Contribute to a dynamic, fast‑paced scale‑up environment where evolving priorities lead to impactful, visible, and real‑world design outcomes.
- Conceptualise, design and prototype user‑centred features and flows for web‑based applications, focusing on improving the renting experience.
- Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys and usability testing to gather insights and validate design decisions.
- Translate complex user needs and business requirements into intuitive and aesthetically pleasing user interfaces.
- Maintain and evolve the design system to ensure consistency and efficiency across all product touchpoints.
- Present design concepts and rationale clearly and persuasively to stakeholders at all levels.
Skills & Qualifications
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in Design, Human‑Computer Interaction, Psychology, or a related field is preferred but not essential.
- Experience: Proven end‑to‑end experience designing web‑based applications. Demonstrated ability to deliver user‑centred design solutions in a product development environment.
- User Experience (UX) Design: Deep understanding of user‑centred design principles, information architecture, interaction design, and user research methodologies.
- User Interface (UI) Design: Strong visual design skills, including layout, typography, colour theory, and the ability to create aesthetically pleasing and functional interfaces.
- Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing end‑to‑end design projects, problem‑solving approaches, and delivered user journeys.
- User Research & Data Analysis: Ability to conduct user research, interpret findings, and use data to inform design decisions and measure impact.
- Cross‑functional Collaboration: Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills with experience working effectively with Product Managers, Engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Communication Skills: Confident and articulate in presenting design rationale, receiving feedback, and explaining complex design concepts.
