Deputy Care Manager - Maple Leaf Lodge - Drivers Only
Package Description

Deputy Manager – Adult Residential

Hours: 35 hours per week

Shifts: 7:00am - 4:30pm / 11:30am - 9:00pm / 7:00am - 9:00pm

Reporting to: Registered Manager

Essential: Must hold a UK Drivers License with access to a vehicle.

Maple Leaf Lodge supports up to 13 adults with complex needs, including profound and multiple learning disabilities, autism and challenging behaviour.

What You’ll Do:

As Deputy Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the daily operations of our supported living services. You’ll lead and inspire a team of support staff, ensuring that we deliver outstanding care and support in line with regulatory standards (CQC/CIW). We offer you the autonomy and responsibility to make a difference while developing your leadership skills in a fast-paced, rewarding environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead by Example: Manage, inspire, and motivate a team of support workers. You’ll be hands‑on, supporting them while creating a positive, inclusive work culture where everyone thrives.
  • Service Coordination: Oversee the daily operations of our services, ensuring person‑centred care is delivered and that we comply with CQC/CIW regulations. Your organisational skills will be key to ensuring smooth operations.
  • Rota Management: You’ll take charge of scheduling to ensure that we have the right people in the right places, keeping staffing levels flexible and efficient.
  • Quality Control: Conduct audits and assessments, ensuring that we continue to meet the highest standards. You’ll be the driving force in maintaining a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Supportive Leadership: Provide mentorship, training, and guidance to your team, helping them grow in their careers. You’ll also be involved in crisis management, safeguarding, and ensuring all support plans are delivered effectively.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in managing and leading a team
  • Deliver high standards of person‑centred care and support, working closely with residents
  • Support the Home Manager in achieving financial targets for the home
  • Ensure compliance with CQC regulations and internal company standardsTake responsibility for the overall management of the home in the absence of the Registered Manager
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle required for travel between sites
