Job summary

A community service provider in the Staffordshire area is seeking a Family Time Worker to support children, young people, and their families during planned family time sessions. This role requires someone who is emotionally intelligent and can work in sensitive situations. Key responsibilities include coordinating sessions, providing emotional support, and ensuring the safety and welfare of children. The ideal candidate will have an NVQ Level 3 qualification and experience working with families. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is essential.

Qualifications

  • Experience of direct work with children, families or carers in a statutory or voluntary setting.
  • Understanding of child development and the impact of stress and trauma.
  • Confidence using IT systems and writing clear, accurate records.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and facilitate family time sessions as directed, including court‑ordered contact.
  • Provide practical and emotional support to children, young people and their families.
  • Accurately complete records, reports and documentation.
