Job description

Location: Cambridge, UK (remote-friendly within the UK) with occasional travel to the office once per quarter.

Want to work in a team that drives the data and insights behind the RuneScape Franchises?

As part of the Marketing team, you’ll help shape data‑led strategies that power player acquisition, engagement, and retention across the RuneScape franchise and beyond.

As a Senior Marketing Analyst (12–14 month maternity cover), you’ll be a subject matter expert responsible for delivering impactful insights, scalable reporting solutions, and performance analysis that guide key marketing decisions. You’ll also play a key role in improving analytics processes and supporting team development through knowledge sharing and best‑practice guidance.

Responsibilities
  • Provide actionable market and player insights to address key strategic & tactical questions
  • Responsible for tracking, reporting, and analysing the performance of digital marketing activities, ad-hoc analytic requests, and development/automation of regular reports
  • Analyses external and internal player data using database queries, spreadsheet models, web analytics tools, statistical analysis tools, and campaign management software tools
  • Analyses A/B and multi‑variate tests, communicate results and provide recommendations.
  • Analyse paid media campaign data to uncover insights and drive data‑led recommendations that improve performance and guide budget decisions using a variety of data sources.
  • Collaborate with Digital Marketing team to direct ambiguous questions or metrics into impactful analysis
  • Present analysis conclusions to business stakeholders in a clear and practical way.
  • Partner with data engineering to manage data requirements such as schema requirements and data format to support high‑quality deliverables
  • Conduct effective analysis while adhering version control, documentation, and reproduction
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in an analytical role within marketing, ideally in a data‑driven, performance focused environment
  • Solid understanding of performance marketing principles, marketingchannels, and campaign optimisation
  • Demonstrated ability to translate data into actionable insights and present them effectively
  • Working skill in SQL and a statistics language (e.g. Python or R)
  • Experience with dash‑boarding software (e.g.Tableauor Power BI)
  • Experience automating data processes to minimise manual effort
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Strong domain knowledge in assessing digital products, working in an analytics environment in core statistical modelling and toolsets
