Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Romsey is seeking a Business Development Director to drive new business growth across Projects and Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) within their Building Services.   • Solid understanding of tender processes, pricing structures, and contract frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities across Projects and Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM).
  • Develop and implement a regional sales strategy aligned with growth objectives.
  • Generate and qualify a strong pipeline of high-value opportunities through engagement and partnerships.
  • Deliver compelling client presentations, proposals, and bids in collaboration with the Sales Operations team.
  • Mentor and guide a small team to achieve outstanding performance and client engagement.
  • Work closely with the Strategic Partnerships Director to report on sales performance and pipeline progression.
  • Oversee new client onboarding to meet operational and compliance standards.
  • Act as an ambassador for the company at industry events and client meetings to enhance brand visibility.
  • Partner with internal teams to improve tender quality and bid win rates.
  • Promote accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement through a sales-driven approach.
