The Markets and Communications Officer will play a key role in managing the day-to-day operations of the town’s markets and supporting the Council’s engagement with the community.
This dual role ensures that the Council maintains clear, effective communication with residents, businesses, and stakeholders, while also delivering vibrant, well‑organised markets that contribute to the local economy and community life.
The markets that the officer will be responsible for are the Wednesday market at Fairfield, the Sunday car boot sale, and the Cornhill street market.
In terms of communications, the officer will assist with the council’s communications with the community via its website and various social media channels.
