A prestigious educational institution in Bournemouth seeks a part-time lecturer to join the School of Psychology. The ideal candidate will be a clinical or counselling psychologist with a Doctorate-level qualification, committed to academic excellence. Responsibilities include delivering the BSc Psychology with Counselling and MSc Foundations of Clinical Psychology courses. The School of Psychology has four research themes (Health & Clinical; Social, Forensic & Cyber; Perception; Attention, Spatial Cognition & Reading) and additional research groups (Gambling, Sexual Violence, Emotions including Eating Disorders, Situated Cognition, Orthorexia Nervosa). Facilities supporting teaching and research include eye-tracking (6 mobile and static eye trackers), virtual reality, brain stimulation (tDCS, TMS), electrophysiological recording (EEG), behavioural laboratories, and fMRI provided by the Institute of Medical Imaging and Visualisation, plus nutrition laboratories from the Department of Nutrition Science.
We seek to appoint a lecturer to join our dynamic team. We are looking for a clinical or counselling psychologist who can contribute to the delivery of our BSc Psychology with Counselling course and our MSc Foundations of Clinical Psychology course. Experience in designing and delivering engaging teaching is essential. You will be adept at using IT, planning, organising and managing conflicting priorities.
You will be qualified to Doctorate level, be research active and committed to a culture of academic excellence and continuous improvement.
This position is available part-time for 0.8 FTE.
